Anna Nicole Smith who became famous for fighting for her billionaire husbands estate died on Thursday at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and casino in Florida. She was rushed to a hospital after a private nurse found unresponsive .During her final days she was drinking heavily. Smith’s sixth-floor suite in the hotel had no illegal drugs, only prescription medicine, lots of prescription medicine Xanax, Provigil, Vicodin and of methadone .Her son Daniel smith has died just five months ago without any obvious disease but due to the he ill-effects of methadone and anti-depressants. Smith had checked in on February 5th at 8 p.m as a guest and was due to check out on Friday, February 9th.
The hotel security called 911 and she was rushed to Memorial Regional Hospital at 2:10 p.m and pronounced DOA at 2:49 p.m. Smith’s companion, Howard K. Stern, was with her when she died and has reported to Entertainment Tonight that her temperature was
running 104 degrees the night before. Smith’s attorney, Diane Chokondik, stated that Smith had flu-like symptoms for the last couple of days before her death. Entertainment Tonight’s Mark Steines stated that Smith had to take an ice bath on February. Prescription drugs were found in the hotel room. There has been reports of video of her being put onto an ambulance being purchased for the amount of roughly US$500,000.
Dr. Joshua Perper, Broward County medical examiner, said the autopsy excluded any physical injury, blunt-force trauma or asphyxia, meaning Smith didn’t choke to death on her own vomit. “This is clearly a sudden, unexpected and unexplained death,” he said.
While she had no “intact” pills in her stomach, toxicology tests will need to be completed, lasting three to five weeks, Perper said.
