New Google Phone coming

There have been rumors for some time that Google is building a phone though Google has denied it. There are reports to show that it is true. On one hand Google is in talks with Orange to create a ‘Google phone’ which can help in surfing the net faster. It is reported to be mass market device, low cost, internet connected with widescreen design.  It is aimed to handle voice over internet calls and is developed by a 100 person mobile phone group at Google which also includes Andy Rubin the creator of sidekick. A Google representative has acknowledged that Google is working on is own mobile device. Google spokesperson Erin Fors said that they are in touch with industry leader to develop innovative services for users worldwide. This device is intended to be available to emerging market customers.

Google trying to buy double click

After purchasing adscape the video game advertiser recently google is in talks with advertising giant double click. Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL are also bidding for the company. Doubleclick owned by private equity firm Hellman & Friedman is planning t sell the online graphical ad server. Hellman & Friedman purchased DoubleClick for $1.1 billion in 2005. Now the price tag is $2 billion reportedly. DoubleClick has their beginnings in the early days of the webadvertising business.It has 1500 advertising customers including AOL and Myspace. It had a $150million in sales in 2006.

Google moving to TV advertising

 Recently googles announced partnership with EchoStar the U. S. satellite TV broadcaster and google will use its expertise on search based algorithms and provide contextual TV advertising as well. EchoStar’s is reported to have 13 million subscribers.

Now google is ranked number one search-related advertising and the estimated market share is about 70 per cent. Google will analyze the data and determine how and where advertisements are to be placed and it will also cater to the audience according to demographics. Google has also announced a $600 million data center in Berkely County, South Carolina.
