British-born Indian Upen patel was born in August 16 1980 in London. He has modeled for many famous brands like Westside, Hugo Boss, Zaf, Tuscan Verve, Bed Paul Smith and Zegna. He made his debut in bollywood film in “36 china town” . He has also acted in “namaste London” and Shakalaka Boom Boom. He sings also in Shakalaka Boom Boom. He got the Best Debutant actor Award at the Zee Cine Awards held at Malaysia and the GIFA award for his debut performance in 36 China Town.
His mother Lata K. D. Patel was the mayor of Brent in 1996 -1997 and his father owns several petrol stations there. His mother is the youngest woman to be voted to the office of Deputy Mayor or Mayor in Britain. His family migrated from Ahmedabad to Uganda and in the 1970s from Uganda to Britain. He is the youngest among five siblings who are lawyer, teacher and chartered accountant. His home is at Wembley north London. He finished his computer science degree at Hertfordshire University. He started modeling at sixteen and won a national competition as UK’s no 1 Indian male model. He went to Mumbai and signed up a Indian modeling agency Atul Kasbekar’s Matrix three months after graduating. Upen is also applying for dual citizenship to become a resident in India. Once he was known was Amrita Arora’s boyfriend. He has a cookery show and is ranked by Hi Blitz magazine as one of India’s most beautiful people. He is the next person to look out for in Bollywood.
