Google trying to buy double click
After purchasing adscape the video game advertiser recently google is in talks with advertising giant double click. Microsoft, Yahoo, and AOL are also bidding for the company. Doubleclick owned by private equity firm Hellman & Friedman is planning t sell the online graphical ad server. Hellman & Friedman purchased DoubleClick for $1.1 billion in 2005. Now the price tag is $2 billion reportedly. DoubleClick has their beginnings in the early days of the webadvertising business.It has 1500 advertising customers including AOL and Myspace. It had a $150million in sales in 2006.
